Why hourly quotes mislead
An event photographer's day is not the hours on site. A three-hour reception means an hour of pre-light and room coverage, three hours of shooting, then four to six hours of culling, colour and export — plus a same-day edit if you want frames during the event. A studio quoting $150 an hour is either excluding post, or doing it in twenty minutes with a preset.
